Last night’s dream

with my eyes closed,
into the darkness of night,
I felt a hand trying to slowly wake me up;
through the dark,
I saw you smile and felt my heart beating like never before;
you look into my eyes,
tell me you love me,
and for a moment time stood still as I held you in my arms;
and when I finally kissed your lips
I felt like I could breathe again
I knew I had another chance to make things right in my life;
with the fears of yesterday chased away,
thoughts of you fill my senses and dreams of only you and me
start to fill my night;
as the world watches in envy,
the feeling of falling asleep in your arms and waking up in your embrace
makes me forget every little problem in life;
as the first rays of the day stream in,
I only wish when I open my eyes,
from last night’s dream,
you and me become a reality and not just a dream!

whispering sweet nothings,
disagreeing, yet nodding in agreement
hands clasped whenever together,
a moment spent apart,
text messages galore;

i like your laughter
i like your smile,
when i am with you,
i have so much fun;

sending me on a whirlwind spin,
sleep is for the weak,
i tell myself wishing to be next to you
i am going crazy about you;

leaving me breathless with your touch,
you got me forgetting to breathe,
I can’t help but love you with all of me,
because it’s only you who makes me smile;

it’s not supposed to be this hard,
everything is said and done,
all the sweet nothings have been whispered
and all disagreements have been agreed,
with nothing left to savor,
it’s time to call it quits

maybe it’s about time we let romance in!

Friends Today

Even when they meet us, they pass without a greeting;

These very friends; our food had been eating.

Those who were very close to us and our relations;

Now, have decided to change their stations.

Those for whom we bore the brunt of neglect,

Are today, pessimism personified and perfect.

For those who we gave up half our lives;

The result was just a bundle of knives.

How we regret the day we met,

Today, we just regret & regret.

However, we did learn one thing;
